Using a Portable DVD Player

By Tom Tessin

If you're thinking about buying a portable DVD player or you currently have one, you probably are curious on how one works. Most DVD players are the same and work the same way. I'm going to show you step by step on how you can play your DVD in no time. It shouldn't take no longer than a minute to get your DVD up and running.

Look for the eject button: The first step that you want to take is simply by looking for the eject button. This button will allow you to place the DVD inside the tray. Some newer DVD players don't have a tray though and you'll have to slide it in until the player automatically grabs it and accepts it. This works very similar to your car CD player.

Watch the screen: Once the DVD is in, the screen should automatically boot up and start the movie. Here, you'll be able to pick out what you want done next. If the screen is too dark or light, look for the contract buttons on the player. These are generally located on the side. Slide them up and down to get the screen you want.

Enjoy the movie: Once the movie starts, this is when you can mess with the volume or input your headphones. Other than that, everything else should be okay. If you want to play around with the controls to enjoy your experience then do so.

By now, you've probably realized how easy it is to operate a portable player. All of them are going to be different so make sure that you always hold onto the manual just in case something does go wrong.
